The “Golden Team”

At a gala dinner at Wrest Point Hotel Casino on the 26th October 2001, the TFLUA “Golden Team” was announced.

The team was selected on the basis of outstanding ability as an umpire and contribution to the Association in the period 1951 to 2001.

An initial squad of 30 umpires (10 field, 10 boundary and 10 goal umpires) were named. Those squads were as follows:
