Association President Paul Bidgood unveiled the new coaching team at training on Tuesday 16 February. The team contains a lot of experienced umpires many of whom are relative new comers to the coaching scene. Congratulations on your appointment and we look forward to you having a successful season in your new roles.

Assistant Field Umpires Coach: Kim Dillon

Boundary Umpires Coach: Paul Bidgood (acting coach)

Assistant Boundary Umpires Coach: Steve Fenton

Goal Umpires Coach: Bob Webb

Assistant Goal Umpires Coach: Greg Smith

The coaches will also receive support from AFL Tasmania’s new State Head Coaches: Mike Brown (Field & State Umpiring Manager), Cameron Lee (Boundary) and Andrew Hogan (Goal).

Our umpires now have the most extensive coaching support structure in the history of our Association and hopefully this will translate into more individualised coaching and increased performances on match day.
